The origins: The Ophtalgym method adventure

It all begins in 1986. At that time, awareness around natural health methods is booming. It is in this context that Kit Davidson, pioneer of raw food in France, founds Davidson Distribution. His goal? To offer simple and effective tools for health autonomy.

Among these tools, one innovation stands out: stenopaeic grid glasses. Based on the work of author Michel Sommerand, who developed the Ophtalgym method, these glasses quickly become a reference for eye gymnastics. Unlike classic corrective lenses, they do not assist the eye passively but invite it to work, relax and refocus.

The continuity of an artisanal know-how

For over 30 years, these glasses have been distributed with passion, helping thousands of people relieve eye strain. This success rests on a unique quality requirement: manufacturing done in Europe, by a faithful industrial partner, guaranteeing high-quality plastics and precise laser cutting of the grids.

In 2024, following the closure of the historic structure, it was unthinkable to let this heritage disappear. Laurent Allègre, involved in the company life since 2015 as a member of the company, decided to take up the torch. This passing of the baton was done with one priority: continuity.
